The Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA, Exercise Physiology) works closely with the Clinical Research Centre's (CRC) Exercise Physiologist assisting the CRC team with study operations and participant visit activities conducted in the Exercise Physiology Lab.
The CRPA may assist in the preparation of interim data, including presentations, progress reports, and manuscripts. The CRPA may work with clinical coordinators, SickKids Clinical Research Centre nurses, SickKids Central Biobank research technologists, SickKids clinical research teams and clinician scientists, affiliated institutes, and collaborative networks.
Here's What You'll Get to Do

Assist with administrative tasks related to grant and/or manuscript preparation.

Conduct medical literature searches, maintain literature databases and retrieving articles online.

Perform data management including checking data for accuracy and completeness, scoring data, entering data and data cleaning.

Conduct health chart reviews.

Personal training of staff.

Conduct exercise testing in children.

Participate in clinical research as well as clinical activities.

Delivery of wellness workshops to staff.
Here's What You'll Need
Essential:

Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology
-
Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification (Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology) or equivalent

Strong knowledge of exercise testing and exercise physiology

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and organisational skills

Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365 and online research tools such as MEDLINE
-
Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives.
