Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at either our Wildwood or Scenicview locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental and educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and How Does Learning Happen. Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is recommended. ONLY qualified RECES will be considered for this role.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to support student progress
- Utilize computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored instructional strategies
- Lead activities that foster creativity, independence, and social skills among children
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development
- Ability to work between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday
Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education is mandatory and must be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and developmental milestones
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong english communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Proficiency in computer operation for educational software, record keeping, and communication tools
- Classroom experience demonstrating leadership and effective time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and patience
