Cross Country is a leading Canadian manufacturer in the aggregate and transportation industry. We are currently seeking a full-time General Outfitter to join our Assembly team.
As a General Outfitter, you play an important role in the completion of Cross Country Mfg. trailers. Working as part of a team, you will install a variety of components that ensure each trailer operates safely and efficiently. This role offers hands-on work, opportunities to learn multiple skillsets, and the satisfaction of seeing a trailer come together from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble trailer components including:
- Electrical and basic wiring components
- Plumbing and hydraulic-related components
- Tarp systems
- Tires and wheels
- Decals and finishing details
- Read and follow schematics, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Use basic hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure quality and attention to detail at each stage of assembly
- Work independently while also contributing to a team environment
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable operation basic hand tools
- Knowledge of fractions and decimals; able to accurately read a measuring tape
- Ability to follow schematics and assembly instructions
