Class 3 or Class1 Truck Drivers with Air Brake Endorsement
V.J. Rice Concrete Limited is a family owned and operated business located from HRM to the Western Shores of Nova Scotia. Since 1961 the company has been a manufacturer and producer of ready-mix concrete, landscaping and masonry products, concrete brick and block, concrete pipe, retaining walls, septic tanks, well rings, aggregates and much more.
As a ready-mix truck driver for V.J. Rice Concrete Limited your responsibilities would include:
- Safe operation of a ready-mix truck
- Inspect product to ensure it meets project specifications
- Dealing with customers in a respectful professional manner, obtaining signatures, collecting payment when necessary, and managing paperwork.
- Evaluating site conditions
- Completing daily logs and inspection sheets
- General cleaning and maintenance of trucks
- Other duties as required including plant or yard work
What a candidate has to offer:
- Valid Commercial Drivers license Class 3 with air Brake Endorsement
- Must have ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Commitment to customer service
- Team oriented positive attitude
- Industry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Given the company has several locations, travel between plants at times may be necessary to complete company deliveries. Customer requirements may dictate overtime and on occasion weekend work.
Pay: $26.95 per hour
