Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This full-time or part-time role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, supporting order fulfillment, inventory management, and distribution processes.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within warehouse management systems such as MRP or AS400
- Ensure proper packaging of products for safe transportation
- Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms and warehouse distribution channels
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed
- Operate order pickers and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, or AS400 platforms
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment procedures
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Experience with order picking, packaging, and load & unload tasks
- Knowledge of e-commerce shipping requirements is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
