At Haliburton Hockey Haven Sports Camp we are dedicated to enriching the lives of young athletes through sport, education and leadership. Our organization has been doing this since 1964, and have been at our current camp facility for nine summers now and are in need of some great people to assist us in our endeavor! This job is a contract position but we are hoping that full-time employment will be the end result with our new facility. We are looking for a golf instructor to direct our golf program. At Haliburton Hockey Haven Sports Camp we have a wide range of camper abilities which make for exciting days and an engaging teaching opportunity. We are looking for individual who is able to maintain a safe environment while providing engaging and encouraging instruction to our campers.
Responsibilities
- Instruct beginner to intermediate golfers to improve basic skills
- Preform ability assessments
- To ensure that safety standards are upheld at all times
- To enforce sun safety at all times
- Preform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needed
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Golf Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching golf techniques and possess excellent communication skills to help students improve their game. This role involves providing personalized coaching, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment for golfers of all skill levels. Experience in swimming is a plus, as it demonstrates versatility and comfort working with diverse clients. The Golf Instructor will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional golf instruction and enhancing our members' overall experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group golf lessons tailored to each student's skill level and goals
- Develop customized lesson plans that focus on improving swing, stance, putting, and overall technique
- Demonstrate proper golf techniques through clear instruction and practical demonstrations
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during lessons, especially when working near water or swimming areas
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for all clients
- Assist with organizing clinics, workshops, and special events related to golf instruction
- Stay current with the latest golf training methods and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching golf, with the ability to communicate complex techniques effectively
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and patient demeanor
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and skill levels
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Certification in golf instruction or related fields is preferred but not required
Pay: From $400.00 per week
