Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a Labourer I (Sandblaster/Painter) for the Fort MacKay location on a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
What you will do:

Remove paint/tar sands by blasting with sand

Estimate the time required to perform the work
-
Ensure adequate inventory of consumables are on site to perform scheduled and future projects

Perform all work in a safe manner

Perform other duties as required

Work independently
-
Performs other duties as required; such as painting
Your qualifications:
- Previous sandblast experience
-
Valid fall protection, and elevated work platform certificate
-
Valid certification for operating a forklift
-
Additional safety certificates are an asset

Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions

Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines

Must be physically fit to perform all duties of the position including extensive walking, climbing and awkward positions as well as carrying heavy materials (5-50lbs), while ensuring Personal Protect Equipment (PPE) is used as required.
