The Personal Support Worker role is an important role within long term care homes, retirement homes and community support, and we are looking for applicants who are experienced, caring, and driven to succeed. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes resident focused care
- Performs personal care duties for clients in their home and/or long-term care and retirement homes
- Provides assistance with a variety of household tasks
- Provides cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the client
- Understand the needs of residents and have effective oral and verbal communication skills
- Complete daily task reports for clients regarding their behavior and any changes in their daily routines
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Be willing to work varied shifts, Monday to Sunday (morning, day and night shifts available)
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Hold a Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized college in Ontario
- Qualified First Aid & CPR Level C
- Current immunization record
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- 1 year (preferred) Personal Support Care experience
