We are currently recruiting for a Construction Site Supervisor to join our Operations Team. Working closely with many departments within the organization, this individual must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Job Summary:
The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple turnkey construction projects and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. This role involves travel within New Brunswick and requires regular communication with the leadership team to provide updates on project progress, timelines, and goals. The successful candidate will work closely with subcontractors and internal equipment installation crews to support the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.
We are looking for an experienced construction supervisor who can lead site operations, coordinate crews, maintain quality control, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations for multiple turnkey construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, internal crews, and equipment installation teams on site.
- Plan, organize, and monitor project schedules, milestones, and daily site activity to keep projects on track.
- Communicate regularly with the leadership team on project progress, timelines, risks, and key updates.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project plans to support accurate execution of the work.
- Maintain strong safety practices on site, lead by example, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are met and deficiencies are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate material, equipment, and labour requirements to support efficient project delivery.
- Resolve site issues and changing priorities quickly to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation, including progress updates, reports, and other project records.
- Support project completion by helping ensure work is delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Travel to project sites within New Brunswick as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in construction, carpentry, civil, or a related field is an asset.
- 3+ years of construction experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory, foreman, lead hand, or site coordination role.
- Experience managing multiple trades and tight production/install timelines.
- Strong ability to read plans and specifications and coordinate daily work with trades, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Solid knowledge of construction safety, quality standards, scheduling, and site logistics.
- Residential or modular construction experience.
- Knowledge of Canadian National Building Code (Part 3 and 9).
- Experience reading blueprints and drawings.
- Strong background in supervising construction projects.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work with a team and individually.
- Valid driver’s licence required.
