Job Summary
Looking for a Certified Level II Dental Assistant willing to perform all tasks as per the scope of practice.
Please only Apply if you are Certified Level II Dental Assistant and have minimum of 2 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by handing instruments and materials as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience in both pediatric and orthodontic settings.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with Abeldent dental software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Previous experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus but not required.
