Job Title: On-Call Marine Welder

Albion Marine Solutions provides project management, engineering, consultancy, and conversion services to maritime and offshore industries worldwide.
We are looking to hire Marine Welder for casual on-call employment.
Job Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and relevant welding procedure specifications in a proficient manner.
- Perform various welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW), to join metal components and structures.
- Follow industry regulations and standards for welding operations in the marine sector.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to welding activities, such as proper disposal of waste materials and control of emissions.
- Repair and modify existing marine equipment, such as hulls, decks, pipes, and machinery, using appropriate welding techniques.
- Conduct inspections and assessments to identify welding defects, cracks, or structural weaknesses and recommend appropriate repair methods.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting & plasma cutting equipment, including hand tools (i.e., grinder/chipping gun).
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent education.
· Valid Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman’s Welder certification is preferred.
· CWB certification is a mandatory requirement.
· Certification or training in welding techniques and procedures.
· Proven experience as a welder, preferably in the marine industry.
· Familiarity with marine welding materials, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.

· Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
· USA B1/B2 or work authorization in USA will be preferred

Pay: $60.00-$65.00 per hour
