The ProBuild Sales Coordinator plays a vital role for EASTCUT under the Macklan Group of Companies. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to both internal and external customers contributing to the profitable growth of this enterprise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contact vendors and research cost and availability specifications of required materials and propose most appropriate materials for project requirements to customers.
- Timely handling and replying to requests from job supervisors and Project Managers with a same day reply when possible.
- Facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to both internal and external customers.
- Focusing on and prioritizing customer service responsibilities is essential to this position.
- Build bids based on defined margin objective guidelines.
- Record keeping of enquiries fielded, projects quoted, and final won/loss recording.
- Sourcing costs and developing selling prices based on market selling price intelligence.
- Ensuring logistics of product delivery or pick-up resulting in a minimum cost to EASTCUT, while attempting to provide the most immediate service to our partner companies.
- Working closely with the shipping team for optimum asset utilization.
- Creating quotes and then following up on the quotations to see if they become orders.
- Contribute to the regular inventory count and analysis, with an emphasis on accuracy and in-stock positions.
- Ensuring we track all purchase orders and sales orders on the correct ERP/ POS systems.
- Other assignments as discussed and agreed upon.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in construction or allied industries.
- Demonstrated experience with building material sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service focus, and professional demeanor.
- Highly organized and detail focused.
- A strong understanding of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Adaptable, with the aptitude to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing needs and priorities.
- Highly organized and detail focused - record keeping of enquiries, bid status and win/loss ratios will be a big part of determining your success in this exciting venture.
- Ability to work independently, and be part of a collaborative team
