Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (Primary Care) – Markham, Ontario

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our busy family medicine clinic in Markham, Ontario. Working collaboratively with a family physician and interdisciplinary healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population.
Position Type
- Full-Time, Permanent, Part-time option also available
- Monday to Friday (some flexibility available), some weekends

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and health histories
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the NP scope of practice
- Provide preventive care, health promotion, and patient education
- Perform routine health examinations, immunizations, and screenings
- Collaborate with the family physician and allied health professionals to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Facilitate referrals and coordinate care with specialists and community resources
These duties align with the scope of practice for primary health care nurse practitioners in Ontario.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner (RN-EC) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
- Experience in family medicine or primary care is an asset
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based care model
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Multilingual skills are an asset
