Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a high standard of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management, ensuring all guests receive attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper cash register procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and kitchen experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest services skills.
- Assist with food preparation or setup during busy periods or special events as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while serving multiple tables efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations for billing or upselling.
- Experience with cashiering, food preparation, or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a hospitality setting.
