We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Product Configuration Specialist / Analyst to support a leading financial services environment. This role focuses on configuring and maintaining insurance and annuity products within a digital sales platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless usability for internal stakeholders and advisors.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in insurance products, product configuration, and workflow management, along with the ability to collaborate across business, compliance, and technology teams.
- Configure insurance and annuity products within a configurable digital platform, including:
- Product rules, rate tables, riders, and features
- Data fields, forms, and application workflows
- Suitability rules and compliance validations
- Ensure all configurations align with regulatory and business requirements
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to onboard and update products
- Manage product lifecycle activities such as:
- New product launches
- Rate and form updates
- Regulatory changes
- Perform end-to-end testing of product configurations, including:
- Quoting and illustrations
- Electronic applications (e-app) and e-signature flows
- Ensure submissions meet In Good Order (IGO) standards
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for configuration and platform-related issues
- Investigate and resolve defects or discrepancies reported by users or partners
- Configure and maintain compliance workflows, disclosures, and suitability checks
- Ensure adherence to broker-dealer policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, updates, and processes
- Track change logs and maintain audit-ready records
- Partner with cross-functional teams including:
- Compliance
- Operations
- Technology
- External vendors/platform providers
- Support coordination for platform enhancements and complex changes
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, including:
- Fixed, indexed, and variable annuities
- Life insurance products
- Experience with configurable insurance platforms (e-application or digital sales tools)
- Understanding of workflow configuration, rules engines, and forms management
- Knowledge of compliance, suitability, and regulatory processes in financial services
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with FireLight or similar insurance/e-application platforms
- Background in broker-dealer or insurance carrier environments
- Experience in insurance operations, new business processing, or sales support
- Familiarity with API integrations or platform administration
