Parts Advisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Advisor to join our automotive aftermarket team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts inventory, assisting customers with parts inquiries, and ensuring smooth order fulfillment processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive parts and repair procedures. Previous parts advisor experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly desirable to provide exceptional customer service and support sales operations.
Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts through effective communication and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and perform regular stock audits to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Collaborate with wholesale & retail customers to fulfill parts orders promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain organized shelving and storage areas for easy access and inventory control.
- Provide technical support by offering product information, and product recommendations.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new products to customers.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing excellent phone etiquette and customer service.
- Keep detailed records of orders, returns, and exchanges using inventory management software.
- Assist in order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of parts to customers.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair knowledge is required.
- Familiarity with POS systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers or customers when necessary.
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles is required.
- Good math skills for handling transactions, inventory counts, and order calculations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers professionally.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies related to automotive parts sales is advantageous.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
