Description
Join the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program and contribute to training the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force personnel. In partnership with SkyAlyne, CAE delivers advanced training solutions and immersive learning experiences that support mission readiness. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Avionics is responsible for performing aircraft servicing and maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and testing aircraft systems
Removing and replacing line replaceable units (LRUs) and components
Performing specialty maintenance tasks in maintenance shops, as required
Interpreting and applying technical publications and diagrams
Maintaining tools and equipment required to perform assigned duties
Ordering aircraft spare parts and materials
Conducting flight line servicing operations
Debriefing the Team Lead, as required
Carrying out workplace inspections and clean-up activities
Filling the position of Desk Controller, as required
This position is based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Relocation support is available.
Minimum Qualifications
Transport Canada–approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Diploma or equivalent (including Canadian Forces Avionics Technician)
Possession of a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) E License
Minimum 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in first-line maintenance
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to work shifts and travel occasionally as required
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices
Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance
Eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit), or ability to obtain eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in life-cycle support activities
Possession of M1 or M2 AME license (considered an asset).
Experience with military aviation or ex‑military avionics trade background.
Minimum 3 years of second-line maintenance experience
