A Non-Profit Organization with a Mandate to Provide Services to Adults with Intellectual Disabilities.
Applications are currently being accepted for Direct Service Workers looking for casual employment. Shifts vary and an applicants’ availability would be discussed during the screening process. Casual employees are not regularly scheduled to work, are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours but may avail themselves of the organization's internal application process once they are employed.
The wage rate is $17.50 per hour.
Direct Service Workers support and assist Individuals in daily routines and activities. The successful candidates will be committed to the goals and objectives of the organization and supportive of its programs and services.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Satisfactory English communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License, required
- Experience working with adults with developmental/physical disabilities an asset
Employment is subject to a Criminal Records Check and Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks. Successful candidates will be required to obtain First Aid&CPR/AED certification and provide a driver abstract. All charges incurred will be at the expense of the candidate.
