Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Category Manager (indirect) to oversee procurement and vendor management for non-production supplies and services. The role focuses on developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, driving cost savings, improving procurement processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing and category management plans.
- Lead medium- to large-scale sourcing projects from strategy through execution.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and demand management.
- Collaborate with global procurement teams to align regional and global sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and source-to-pay processes.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and influence business decisions.
Qualifications include:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience.
- Experience in indirect procurement categories and supplier negotiations.
- Strong analytical, financial, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI/Tableau and procurement systems such as Coupa, GEP, or Ariba is considered an asset.
- Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Professional procurement certification (or working toward one), such as SCMP, CIPS, or CPSM, is preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
