Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced City Driver AZ to join our team. This role involves local delivery operations within the city, ensuring timely and safe transportation of freight and goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, within city limits for daily deliveries
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all freight is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
- Assist with heavy equipment operation and minor automotive repairs as needed to support delivery functions
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) AZ endorsement required
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Proven experience in commercial driving or logistics roles preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
