Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working Yard / Shop Associate to support our heavy-duty equipment repair operations. This is a hands-on position that keeps the shop, yard, and technicians running efficiently. If you’re the type of person who shows up on time, stays busy without being asked, and takes pride in a clean, organized workspace, you’ll fit in well here.
Duties:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard
- Move heavy equipment and trucks in and out of the shop (as required)
- Wash equipment and prepare units for service or delivery
- Receive and organize parts and shipments
- Parts pickups and returns
- Assist technicians with basic tasks and shop support
- Manage scrap, garbage, and recycling
- Perform general building and yard maintenance (snow removal, sweeping, etc.)
- Help track tools, materials, and shop supplies
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic and reliability (this is #1)
- Physically capable of working in a shop/yard environment
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment is an asset
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum)
- Ability to operate skid steer or forklift is an asset (or willingness to learn)
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Able to follow direction and also work independently
