Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert pharmaceutical care, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care protocols. Experience in hospital or acute care settings is highly valued, especially in pediatrics and specialized patient populations. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and improving patient outcomes through accurate medication management and counseling.
Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Maintain detailed records of medication dispensation and patient interactions
- Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed in consultation with healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Educate patients on medication adherence and health management strategies
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and verifying medication supplies
Experience
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
- Hospital experience or acute care experience is preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Proven ability to provide exceptional patient care in fast-paced environments
- Prior experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams is advantageous

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
