About the Role: This is a field-based sales position focused on growing our bin sales division through new customer acquisition, account development, and territory expansion. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time on the road meeting customers, visiting job sites, inspecting operational needs, and presenting solutions that support waste handling, material movement, recycling, and site logistics.
The role is highly relationship-driven and requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities in industries such as construction, demolition, waste management, recycling, excavation, scrap metal, forestry, and municipal operations.
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle—from initial prospecting and needs assessment to quoting, order placement, delivery coordination, and after-sales support.
You will work closely with internal production, design, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are properly understood and delivered on time, especially for custom-fabricated bin solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and develop new customer relationships
- Generate leads and build a strong territory pipeline
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market analysis.
- Prepare quotes and follow up on opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the company's presence within the assigned territory.
- Visit customer sites, job sites, yards, and offices regularly
- Identify customer needs and recommend the right bin solutions
- Close sales and achieve monthly targets
- Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms and close deals effectively.
Account Management
- Build long-term relationships with contractors, waste haulers, recyclers, municipalities, and industrial clients
- Manage existing client accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and expansion of services.
- Provide product knowledge and after-sales support
- Coordinate with production and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Market Development
- Expand market presence in assigned territory
- Monitor competitors and industry trends
- Identify new opportunities in construction, waste, and recycling sectors
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions within the territory.

Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of outside sales experience
- Experience in construction, waste, recycling, steel fabrication, or industrial sales is an asset
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-driven and goal-oriented
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel throughout BC, Alberta
Experience
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management within a relevant industry.
- Demonstrated success in negotiation and closing complex deals with clients.
- Strong marketing acumen with the ability to develop effective outreach strategies.
- Proficiency in analysis skills for interpreting sales data and market insights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor capable of building lasting client relationships.

$70,000 – $90,000 base salary (depending upon experience)
