Job Overview
EAP Construction is currently hiring experienced Journeyperson Carpenters for ongoing work on the Valley Line West LRT project in Edmonton.
We are looking for local Edmonton-based carpenters with strong experience in civil concrete formwork, layout work, and structural carpentry. Previous LRT experience is mandatory for this role.
This position is ideal for experienced carpenters who can work independently, understand elevations and sequencing, complete accurate layouts, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced civil construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform accurate layouts, elevations, benchmarks, and gridline work
- Build, install, and strip concrete formwork systems
- Work with Peri, Doka, Aluma, and engineered formwork systems
- Complete civil concrete and structural carpentry work
- Verify all work is level, plumb, square, and within tolerances
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades onsite
- Maintain high quality standards
- Support ongoing LRT infrastructure construction activities
Requirements
- Journeyperson Carpenter certification preferred (asset)
- 4th-Year Apprentices with strong experience may also be considered
- Previous LRT project experience is mandatory
- Strong layout experience is required
- Experience in civil concrete formwork and infrastructure projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Must be local to Edmonton or surrounding area
- Fall Protection and additional safety tickets are considered assets
- Must be willing to start as soon as possible
- GST number preferred
