Responsibilites
- Clean and disinfect kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigerators.
- Performed deep cleaning of heavily soiled kitchen areas, including exhaust hoods, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste according to hotel procedures.
- Restock cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Secure the kitchen and storage areas at the end of the shift.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Reported maintenance concerns and equipment malfunctions to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial kitchen, hotel, restaurant, or janitorial cleaning preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations.
- Experience cleaning heavily soiled areas, grease buildup, and kitchen exhaust hoods is an asset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts.
