Are you interested in supporting the Audit function at Ontario’s largest retailer? Reporting to Audit Project Manager, you will work as a member of different audit teams doing risk-based auditing across our organization. Our audits are performed in full compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards. Our audit shop is customer focused, independent from management, and we strive to provide advice our customers can build on. We work on continuously improving our processes and practices, through new developments and innovation.
Are you good at documenting and evaluating processes to find out if risks are being managed and recommend solid solutions if they are not? Do you have a background in risk-based auditing? Then this is the role for you!
About the Role

Perform audits using our methodology; meet our working paper documentation standards; and obtain sufficient, reliable, and useful evidence to substantiate your findings and conclusions.

Develop and document process narratives and flow-charts, risk and control matrix, planning memorandum, and audit programs.

Use data analytics to support your work where practical and useful.

Find opportunities for process optimization, cost control and revenue improvements.

Meet deadlines for completing assigned work.

Communicate audit results to appropriate levels of management and discuss observations noted during the course of the audit.

Support efforts to continuously improve and innovate audit practices.
About You

Minimum Required:
- An accounting and/or audit designation (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA).

18 months of experience with financial, operational, and value for money auditing.
- Strong proficiency in creating flow charts, process narratives, and identifying risks and controls.
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
- Preferred:
- A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience in audit management software.

Excellent knowledge and experience in audit techniques and methodologies, and data analytics.

Solid knowledge of risk assessment processes, and fraud detection and corrective measures.
