Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring that all food served meets our high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as marinating, portioning, and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food products
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Adhere to health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to employment is a plus
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
