Industrial Millwright
Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$36.00–$48.00/hour + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to repair, rebuild, install, and maintain industrial centrifuges and other mechanical equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience working with tight tolerances in a custom machine shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Repair, rebuild, assemble, and install centrifuges and industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical drives.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and technical drawings.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and other gauges to verify tolerances.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and mechanical adjustments.
- Safely move and position machinery using overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, and lifting equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of Millwright experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and common shop tools.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Arc, or Oxy-Acetylene) is an asset.
- Comfortable operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
- Must have own tools.
- Centrifuge repair experience is considered a strong asset.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
