Roles & Responsibilities:
- Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, establishing root cause using proven techniques, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and facilitating provided resources of the corrective action team members.
- Prepare & provide training of floor level instructions to all levels of the organization.
- Champion preparation of core documentation for PPAP’s (PSW, DOCP, Initial Process Studies, GR&R, Functional & Dimensional Reports etc.) Track & report progress towards realization of APQP targets & requirements including revalidation plan.
- Work with the QA Manager to define product inspection strategy and gauging requirements and calibration requirements for all assigned projects in accordance with customer requirements and product specifications.
- Develop and effectively implement inspection documentation (IPI sheets, gage instructions, rework instructions, GP12 Instructions etc.)
- Participate in the development & maintenance of quality systems and procedures including becoming an active member of the Internal Audit Team.
- Continuously strive to meet the strategic plan and objectives set by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in relevant field
- Minimum three years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Valid certification as a IATF16949 Internal Auditor
- Welding & progressive stamping technology preferred.
- Thorough understanding of OEM customer specific and AIAG requirements including Automotive Core Tools
- Good interpersonal & communication skills; Team player
- Highly focused on results & objective
