Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Fruit Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. This role involves supporting the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of fruit crops on our farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn about horticulture and farm operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in fruit farming and develop skills in farm machinery, irrigation systems, and crop management.
Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, thinning, and harvesting fruit crops to ensure optimal yield and quality
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and general farm maintenance
- Support with soil preparation, fertilization, and pest control activities
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and harvested produce
- Follow safety protocols during all farm operations, including heavy lifting and equipment use
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of horticulture practices and farm maintenance preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and power tools is a plus
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is advantageous
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or harvesting schedules
- Willingness to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment with attention to safety procedures
- Prior experience in farming or agricultural work is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills
Pay: $17.60 per hour
