Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team. As a locally owned leader in Western Canada’s heavy haul industry, we pride ourselves on maintaining a modern fleet, a strong safety culture, and exceptional service standards. This position is ideal for an experienced mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship, troubleshooting complex issues, and keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
· Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, trailers, and heavy haul equipment
· Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, air brake, suspension, and engine systems
- Repair and replace components including brakes, suspensions, wheel seals, lighting, and driveline systems
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Work collaboratively with drivers, dispatch, and shop personnel
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Truck and Transport Mechanic or equivalent certification
- Experience working on heavy trucks and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and air brake systems
- Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
