Job Title: Epoxy Installer and Concrete Polishing Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Epoxy Installer and Concrete Polishing Technician to join our team. As an Epoxy Installer and Concrete Polishing Technician, you will be responsible for installing epoxy flooring systems and polishing concrete floors for commercial, industrial, and residential clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with epoxy and concrete polishing equipment, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Epoxy Installation:
- Prepare surfaces for epoxy installation, including cleaning, patching, and profiling
- Apply epoxy coatings to floors, walls, and other surfaces
- Ensure proper mixing, application, and curing of epoxy materials
- Install epoxy flooring systems, including self-leveling, broadcast, and trowel-down applications
Concrete Polishing:
- Prepare concrete surfaces for polishing, including cleaning, patching, and grinding
- Operate concrete polishing equipment, including grinders, polishers, and burnishers
- Apply concrete densifiers and sealers as needed
- Polish concrete floors to achieve desired level of shine and reflectivity
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and vehicles
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors
- Troubleshoot issues and problems as they arise
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in epoxy installation and/or concrete polishing
- High school diploma or equivalent required; training in a related field preferred
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness, WHMIS, PPE, First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, work at heights, and stand for long periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
