Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Worker/Laborer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves working with various materials and tools to assist in building, repairing, and restoring structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience with construction-related tasks. This position offers opportunities for skill development across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, welding, and more.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and install sheet metal components using hand tools and power tools
- Assist with construction projects such as framing, roofing, and ductwork installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate work
- Perform caulking, sealing, and insulation tasks to ensure energy efficiency and weatherproofing
- Support restoration projects by applying construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and other finishing tasks
- Assist with plumbing and welding tasks as needed for various projects
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, plumbing, or welding is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of caulking, restoration techniques, flooring installation, tile laying, and construction painting is a plus
- Ability to read technical schematics and understand complex instructions
- Experience working on diverse projects including commercial or residential buildings will be advantageous
