Journeyman Crane Operator - Camp Position (3 - 4 Months)
Job Duties:
- Read, interpret, understand and follow crane lifting charts
- Ensure correct rigging is in place as required by job specifications
- Participate and complete job duties in regards to hazard assessments, pre-lift safety meetings, rigging of loads, safe load movement and housekeeping
- Assist estimators with building projects for lifts when requested
- Ensure log book and service hours record keeping is up to date and correct
- Know and follow road and crane regulations and obtaining permits for overweight highway travel
Terms of Employment:
- Wage: Based on Qualifications ($48 - $50)
- Northern Allowance: Additional $2 per hour
- Travel Allowance: $400 per completed Shift
- Work Schedule: 14 Days On and 7 Days Off
- Start Date: June 3, 2026
- Length of Project: 3 - 4 Month
- Hours of Work: 10 - 11
- Overtime: As per Labour Standards
- Location: Leismer Camp - Northern Alberta
Knowledge, Skills & Abilitites:
- Journeyman Crane Operator
- Knowledge of Alberta Oilfield construction, operations, and Safety protocol;
- Able to clearly communicate through use of hand signals
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques, hours of service requirements, and load securement best practices
Requirements:
- Class 5 Drivers License - Mandatory
- Class 1 Drivers License - Mandatory
- Safety Certificates: CSTS 2020, H2S Alive
- Client Orientations
- Additional oilfield safety tickets (First Aid, etc.) considered an asset
Experience:
- Crane Operator: 1 year (Required)
Pay: $48.00-$50.00 per hour
