We work with mining and exploration companies on their site so you will be working on-site for 2-weeks at a time then return home for two weeks before starting your next 2-week shift. Night shift and day shift available.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the General Helper you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation and the cleaning and sanitization of the kitchen, dining room, and other areas. This position is hiring for both Day shift and Night Shift. In addition, you will be responsible to do the following:
- Sanitization and cleaning of dishes and kitchen equipment.
- Assisting with serving meals
- Basic food preparation and portioning
- Assisting in cleaning food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, while strictly adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Removal of garbage, ensuring they are placed in the correct receptacles.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience is considered an asset.
- WHIMIS
- Food Safe Training
- First Aid Level 1
