Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Kitchen assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic food service setting, where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Prior experience in the food industry, especially as a barista, is preferred but not required. The position involves handling food and beverages safely while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages using established recipes and techniques
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with health regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients and maintaining stock levels
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Follow food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures throughout all duties
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista, kitchen helper or in the food service industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
