Cutting Machine Operator (Night Shift) - North York
The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Full-time Cutting Machine Operator (Night Shift) on behalf of one of our employer partners.

Location: North York (Dufferin & Steeles)
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week (Must be available to work 40 hours a week)
Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
Pay Rate: $18.60/hr + 4% vacation pay = $19.34/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate CNC cutting machines using provided software (keyboard and mouse).
· Load cutting programs, monitor progress, and stop/start machines as required.
· Oversee proper feeding of perforated paper, fabric rolls, and protective plastic sheeting.
· Remove scrap materials (plastic, paper, and off-cuts) using scissors and place into bins for disposal.
· Collect finished cut pieces and place them on tables for transfer to sewing.
· Monitor quality during cutting and verify accuracy against work orders.
· Maintain a clean and safe cutting area.
Required Qualifications:
· Secondary School or equivalent.
· Minimum of one year in machine operation and plant sanitization.
· Able to do heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Good mechanical knowledge is an asset.
· Knowledge of small tools and light assembly.
· Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
