Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal assembly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, uphold high standards of food safety, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, prep stations, and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Help with stocking supplies and organizing storage areas to promote an efficient workflow
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and restaurant policies during daily operations
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
- Familiarity with cooking techniques is a plus but training will be provided
- Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
