Overview
We are seeking a Safety Advisor to join our compliance enforcement team. The is an entry level position. The ideal candidate will be familiar with residential and commercial construction projects. Candidates understand construction safety standards and and have experience with construction management software. A proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety excellence are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide safety training and guidance to construction teams and subcontractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution
- Stay updated on industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices
- Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, report findings, and manage compliance documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or related field
- Familiarity with construction safety management software for reporting and documentation purposes
- Strong understanding of regulations and other relevant safety standards in the construction industry
- Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and collaboration with diverse teams
- Ability to assess risks effectively and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to respond swiftly to safety concerns or emergencies
