We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE & IT (Infant Toddler Educator) to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment for young children, particularly in the infant and toddler age group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and team members to support each child's growth and learning in a safe and responsive setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, with a focus on infants and toddlers.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and secure attachments.
- Observe and assess individual children's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Manage classroom routines, including transitions, feeding, diapering, rest periods, and playtime efficiently.
- Incorporate bilingual instruction (English/French) as needed to support early language development.Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Maintain organized classroom spaces and ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards.
