Summary
We are seeking an organized, hands-on Installation Manager to oversee daily operations of our installation and service department. This role is responsible for managing field technicians, coordinating schedules and resources, maintaining health and safety compliance, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met.
The successful candidate will also provide operational support and coverage for the Parts & Service Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Supervise and support installation and service technicians in day-to-day operations
- Assist Project Management to coordinate technician schedules, job assignments, and workflow priorities
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and service quality standards
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management for field staff
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and technician development
Health & Safety
- Lead and enforce company health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections
- Ensure technicians are properly trained, certified, and equipped for safe work practices
- Maintain COR/compliance documentation, incident reporting, and safety records
- Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective actions as needed
Customer Service & Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for installation and service-related concerns
- Work closely with customers to ensure timelines, expectations, and service standards are achieved
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve service and scheduling issues efficiently
Parts & Service Department Support
- Provide backup support for the Parts & Service Manager during absences or peak periods
- Support work order management, warranty claims, and departmental reporting
Qualifications
- Previous experience in service and installations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in agriculture, heavy equipment, mechanical, or related industries considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and service management software
