The selected candidate will receive a bonus of $2,500 for successfully completing the 3 month probationary period and will also receive an additional $2,500 bonus after completing 1 full year of employment.

At OK Tire, we believe exceptional customer service and quality workmanship are the foundation of everything we do. We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Licensed Automotive Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a fully licensed technician with strong diagnostic abilities and the ability to perform Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) on passenger vehicles and trailers 4,500 kg or less. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and contributes positively to a team environment.
Responsibilities
As part of our Vehicle Service Team, your duties will include:
- Performing diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a wide variety of passenger vehicles and light trucks
- Conducting Nova Scotia MVI inspections on passenger vehicles and trailers (4,500 kg or less)
- Diagnosing drivability, steering, suspension, brake, electrical, and mechanical concerns
- Road testing vehicles and communicating findings clearly with service advisors and customers
- Performing alignments and suspension-related repairs
- Completing repairs and maintenance efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Recommending preventative maintenance and repair solutions
- Maintaining accurate repair documentation and inspection records
- Assisting with shop cleanliness, organization, and maintaining a safe work environment
- Supporting fellow technicians and contributing to a positive team atmosphere
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed Automotive Service Technician (Red Seal preferred)
- Valid Nova Scotia MVI License for Passenger Vehicles and Trailers 4,500 kg or less
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving abstract
