Journeyman Millwright (Dual Ticket Preferred) - Calgary, AB
$45.00/hour + Overtime | Full-Time Permanent Position
Horizon Industrial Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Journeyman Millwright to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta.
We are an industrial services company that employs highly skilled millwrights to support installation, maintenance, shutdowns, and project work across a variety of industries. While a large portion of our current work involves material handling and conveyor systems, our team regularly works on a broad range of industrial equipment and machinery.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold additional trade certifications, particularly dual-ticket Millwright/Electrician or Millwright/Welder certifications.
Compensation
- $45.00 per hour
- Overtime paid in accordance with Alberta employment standards
- Expected annual earnings of approximately $95,000 - $120,000+ depending on overtime, travel, and project workload
- Daily living allowance (LOA) for eligible out-of-town work
- Travel pay for eligible travel time
- Full-time permanent position

Work Schedule
The initial schedule consists of Saturday and Sunday shifts paid at overtime rates, plus a minimum of two additional shifts during the week.
Employees typically work approximately 32 hours per week while earning the equivalent of 40 straight-time hours. Additional hours are frequently available based on project requirements and workload.
Work may include day shifts, weekends, and occasional early-morning maintenance windows. Travel may occasionally be required depending on project requirements and workload.
Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
- Conveyor and material handling equipment installation and maintenance
- Machinery installation, alignment, commissioning, and repairs
- Rigging and equipment moves
- Preventative maintenance activities
- Shutdown and turnaround work
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- Working safely in industrial environments
- Completing required documentation and reporting
QualificationsRequired
- Journeyman Millwright Certificate
- Valid driver's licence and acceptable driver's abstract
- CSTS certification
- WHMIS certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Conveyor and material handling experience
- Rigging experience
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge
- Fall Protection certification
- Elevated Work Platform certification
- Standard First Aid certification
Additional Assets
Preference will be given to candidates who possess one or more of the following:
- Millwright/Electrician dual trade certification
- Millwright/Welder dual trade certification
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting experience
- Conveyor and material handling experience
- Rigging and heavy equipment moving experience
