J & C Building Cleaning is currently looking for a reliable and flexible casual on-call cleaner to join our team in Ottawa.
This position is ideal for someone looking for extra income and flexible work opportunities. The role primarily involves emergency fill-in cleaning, move-in/move-out cleans, and occasional holiday coverage.
Position Details
- Casual / On-Call Position
- Ottawa and surrounding areas
- Full training provided
- Monthly on-call retainer: $100.00
On average, this position includes:
- Approximately 1 move-in/move-out clean per month
- 2–4 holiday or vacation coverage shifts per month
- Emergency fill-in opportunities as needed
Team members in this role are expected to respond “yes” to at least 80% of coverage requests when available. Reliability and communication are extremely important for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in commercial offices, clinics, condominiums, and common areas
- Complete move-in/move-out cleaning tasks
- Provide emergency coverage for absent staff
- Follow established cleaning procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Complete assigned work within scheduled timeframes
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation is an asset
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
- Flexible availability for daytime, evening, or occasional weekend work
