Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the operational readiness of tow trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, automotive repair, and commercial driving regulations to ensure efficient and professional service delivery.
Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks to transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns, or impound lots.
- Assist customers with vehicle recovery, including roadside assistance and vehicle unlocking.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on tow trucks to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including mileage, destinations, and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate towing assignments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations.
- Assist with automotive repairs or mechanical troubleshooting as needed, utilizing automotive repair knowledge.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as required for loading or unloading vehicles.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and towing equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is a plus.
- Automotive repair skills beneficial for troubleshooting minor issues on the road or at the shop.
- Ability to work independently in various weather conditions and environments.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $39,176.08-$101,125.20 per year
