ACE Courier Services Lethbridge is seeking an individual to join our driver team. We require dedication and reliability in people as we have many time-sensitive routes and deadlines to meet. The person we are looking for needs to consistently and reliably be at work Monday to Friday to fulfil their shift requirements.
ACE Courier is looking to fill the following position:
This position will involve delivering pallets to farmer/ranchers in Southern Alberta. Currently the deliveries are being made in a 24ft 5 ton box truck, automatic transmission with power tailgate. Most delivery locations have the ability to off load from the truck however some locations may need the power tailgate to lower to ground level.
Should there not be a rural shipment on any given day, this driver will help out with regular city deliveries and pick ups.
This position involves a lot of driving and long hours.
***MUST HAVE A FULL DRIVERS LICENSE. NO GDL'S ACCEPTED FOR EMPLOYMENT***
Qualification required:
* Must be reliable, punctual and flexible as routes may vary from day to day.
* Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work every day.
*Ability to listen and take and follow direction from dispatch and management is very important.
*Fork lift experience is required as drivers load and unload trucks with fork lifts daily.
*Hazardous Goods experience is a plus. We will train in TDG's.
*Commercial driving experience is needed to safely maneuver and drive in all types of traffic, road and weather conditions. Getting in and out of tight spots is necessary at times depending on the customer's building and location.
*A clear or good driving abstract/record is required.
* A good geographical knowledge of Southern Alberta roads and communities and surrounding areas is a must to manage time and complete daily routes on time.
*Ability to maneuver heavy pieces on pallet jacks and dollies is a bonus.
*A friendly attitude with good customer service skills are a plus to making this position successful.

ACE Courier delivers everything from small envelopes and boxes to very heavy multiple pallets for our customers. This is not just delivering little items around Lethbridge or area.
