Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Lead menu development and innovate new culinary offerings to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
- Train new staff members on food preparation, safety protocols, and service standards
- Monitor quality control throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served
- Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize operational efficiency and customer experience
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong food preparation, cooking, and food handling skills
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant management practices and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills with staff and customers
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or the food industry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to oversee kitchen operations from start to finish
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality and presentation
- Serving experience is a plus for understanding customer needs and enhancing service delivery
