Job Overview
The Floral Warehouse Associate at QFresh Floral Logistics supports daily operations in a fast-paced floral distribution environment. This role involves handling, organizing, and preparing fresh flowers and supplies for delivery while maintaining quality and adhering to safety standards. This is not a florist position.
This role is part time working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. With hours expected to fall at 32hrs each week across those days. we are expecting this to turn into a full time position within the next 3-6 months.
Your average week will consist of varying tasks, ensuring product arrives on time and in great condition. working with the team to process product, and working the mass market bouquet production line. as well as picking boxes of product and organizing skids for delivery purposes. you will need the ability to be on your feet for 8 hours each day and repeatedly pick up and move boxes weighing upwards of 30lbs. as well as work in a cool environment consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Flower Handling and Preparation:
- Unload, inspect, and sort incoming floral shipments for quality assurance.
- Assemble and package floral arrangements or supplies for delivery.
- Prep and manufacture mass market floral bouquets.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and label flowers and supplies according to customer orders.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of shipments for delivery.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled work environment.
- Dispose of waste and manage cleaning routines to uphold sanitary conditions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines while handling materials.
- Report damaged goods or equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Other tasks as required by team
Skills
- Has valid class 5 license and able to commute to Airdrie AB.
- Must be comfortable with the use of manual and power jacks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand consistently throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a cool environment.
- Must be available for extended work during floral holidays (valentines, mothers day etc)
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience and knowledge in working with flowers is a strong asset.
- Valid Counterbalance forklift license is an asset.
