Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing stone surfaces to achieve high-quality, polished results. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, proficiency with various tools and equipment, and experience working in manufacturing or construction environments. The Stone Polisher plays a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Operate polishing machines and hand tools to smooth and finish stone surfaces
- Inspect stones for defects or imperfections and perform corrective polishing as needed
- Use power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively during the polishing process
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading stones using forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with experience operating machinery, power tools, and hand tools
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment is a plus
- Skills in machining, assembly, welding, or related trades are advantageous
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and manufacturing processes
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required
