Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House is looking for a friendly, organized Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact, you play a key role in setting the tone for our guests and creating a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they walk in.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates clearly, and can confidently manage guest flow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating plan
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to support smooth service
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with reservations and guest inquiries
- Provide guests with information about menu items and daily features
- Handle guest requests or concerns in a courteous and timely manner
- Keep the host stand and entrance area clean, organized, and presentable
- Support training of new team members when needed
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an asset (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations or POS systems is an asset
- Professional phone etiquette with a friendly, positive attitude
- Passion for providing excellent guest service
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
